     American Gia Lewis-Smallwood finished third in the women's discus at today's Diamond League meet in Paris.

     The American's farthest toss got her out to 65.59 meters which equates to just over 215 feet. That is great news for Lewis-Smallwood whose personal best is just over 216 feet.

     Lewis-Smallwood took the early lead on her first throw of the competition but could not improve through the rounds.

     The Women's discus was won by Sandra Perkovic of Croation with a toss of 68.48 meters. Dani Daniels of Australia was second at 67.4 meters
