With the Utah, high-school track season about a month behind her, Ogden, UT senior Sarah Feeny just kept on training.

A week ago she broke a meet record in the 800 meters at the Great southwest meet in Albuqurque (2:09).

And then she really announced herself in New York last weekend, winning the Adidas Dream Mile in a state record time of 4:39.

Feeny, absolutely crushed her personal best in the mile, having run 4:45 at the Utah State meet.

Feeny won going away, outdistancing second place finisher, Stephanie Jenks by about three seconds.

All told, ten high school athletes in the meet cracked the 4:56 barrier.

Feeny captured state championships this season in cross-country and won state titles for Ogden high school in the 1600, 3200 and medley relays.

Feeny will continue her running career at the University of Utah this fall where she will participate in cross-country and track for the Utes.
