With the Utah high-school track season done for about a month, Ogden's Sarah Feeny just kept on training.
At the great southwest meet in Albuquerque last week, Feeny cranked out a meet record and personal best in the 800 meters, 2:09.
During the Adidas Dream Mile in New York this past weekend, Feeny cranked out a 4:39 to crush the field in winning by about three seconds over Stephanie Jenks.
Feeny had a remarkable run this season for Ogden high school, winning the state cross country title in the fall and claiming track titles at 1600, 3200 and anchoring her team's Medley relay team to a state championships.
The 4:39 mile for Feeny is impressive considering her personal best at 1500 meters is 4:44 and that event is about 100 meters shorter than the mile.
Feeny will take her talents to the University of Utah this fall where she will participate in cross country and track for the Utes.
